A Used Book and Music Partnership Program

The sale of items in the Shop-N-Share program provides cash funds for local ministry organizations.  Individuals donate pre-owned, good condition, books and music toward a participating organization.  These items are placed on sale at the bookstore in a well-marked designated location.  When sold, the participating organization receives 50% of the procedes from that sale.  Signage and labeling inform shoppers of  the ministry that they are supporting through their purchase. 

North Star Books is proud to partner with the following organizations for the purposes of Christ:

  • Aged Out Teens Unlimited
  • Campus Crusade for Christ
  • Expansion International
  • Harvest Life Church
  • Higher Ground Worship Center
  • Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center
  • Teen Challenge Pacific Northwest
  • Vida Nueva Church of the Nazarene

TO PARTICIPATE

If you are a LOCAL MINISTRY ORGANIZATION and wish to participate in this program, you can read more about it and submit an application form for approval.

If you are an INDIVIDUAL WISHING TO DONATE you can do so two ways.  If you want a tax donation receipt, donate directly to the participating organization.  If you do not need a donation receipt, you can bring your donation directly to North Star Books during regular business hours and identify the participating organization you wish to support with your donation.  (Some individuals have chosen to support their local Christian bookstore and have identified NSB as the recipient of their donation.  That is also an option.)

SHOPPERS be sure to check out the Shop-N-Share selection when you come to the store.  The label on the product will identify the organization that will benefit from your purchase.  And of course, you benefit from the reduced pricing.

Note:  All donations are final.  North Star Books will determine sell ability and pricing.  Books and music should be appropriate for sale in a Christian bookstore.  Condition of books should be with no marks or highlighting, good to excellent appearance,  and no missing or torn pages.  CDs should have little or no scratches on the surface.  All sales from the Shop-N-Share selection are final.
